On a bright and joyful morning at the iconic Louis Leakey Auditorium in Nairobi, Millennium Global International hosted its much-anticipated Commencement Day 2025—a ceremony that brought together tradition, excellence, and heartfelt celebration.

The event opened with the Academic Procession, led proudly by Jimmy Seth Murio of the graduating class of 2025, carrying the School Blazon. Applause filled the room as the graduating classes of 2024 and 2025, accompanied by faculty, made their way into the ceremonial arena. With the national anthem and prayers recited, the day was officially opened by the Liaison Officer, Mr. Hassam.

Following a warm welcome, the Invocation Address by faculty member Mr. Cedric Ongeri set a reflective tone. The audience then paid tribute to the school’s Role Model, His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan, whose far-reaching contributions to education, health, and global development were honored with deep gratitude.

Student performances soon took center stage, with poems from Win Chege and Salima Subira, a lively Year 6 musical act, and an emotional tribute video capturing unforgettable moments. The school’s recent accolade as the “Most Advanced School in the British Curriculum in Africa” at the African Academia Awards was also celebrated—an achievement that drew well-earned applause from the entire gathering.

Keynote speaker Mr. Kelvin Thuku, Programme Director at the Ngong Road Children’s Foundation and founder of The Teens Table, inspired the audience with his words on youth empowerment, leadership, and purposeful living. His passionate call to action left a lasting impression.

The ceremony embraced every stage of learning. The crowd melted at the sight of the Little Whizzes—kindergarten graduands of 2024 and 2025—delighting the audience with songs and smiles before receiving their certificates. The spotlight then shifted to the iPrimary, IGCSE, and IAL graduates, each proudly crossing the stage to mark a milestone in their academic journey.

Top achievers across all categories were recognized for their brilliance in subjects like Mathematics, English, Science, Business, and the Arts. Special commendations included awards for Public Speaking, Positive Interaction, Sports Excellence, and Leadership in CSR, the latter won by Ibtihaaj Kassim for student-led charitable initiatives benefitting UNHCR, The Water Project, and underprivileged girls in Kenya.

An entertaining interlude was provided by Instructors at Key Stage 1 level, who donned their cowgirl boots and hats and line-danced their hearts away, leaving the audience thoroughly enchanted and whooping - Yeehaw!

One of the most heartfelt moments of the day was the tribute to the parental body—the unshakeable foundation behind every student’s success. Their sacrifices and love were honored with a touching video and thunderous applause.

The event culminated in the awarding of Valedictorian Honors across all levels. Among those celebrated were:

  • Ayana Njambi (Preprimary 2024)

  • Jada Sarah Kithinji (iPrimary 2024)

  • Bayla Nariah (Preprimary 2025)

  • Ayana Maria Pakkari (iPrimary 2025)

  • Jimmy Seth Murio (IGCSE 2025)

  • Jaabir Nor (IAL 2025)

These outstanding students, joined by their proud families, marked the occasion with the ceremonial cake cutting.

To close the day, guests were treated to a dynamic gymnastics performance by Millennium’s Gymnastics Club Patrons.

Special appreciation was extended to Mr. Kelvin Thuku, school officers Mr. Hassam and Mrs. Kassam, the teaching faculty, parents, livestreaming team, venue staff, and Chef John for the delicious luncheon.

With caps tossed in celebration and hearts full of hope, the Millennium Global community marked Commencement 2025 as a day to remember—a beautiful beginning to many bright futures.

Congratulations to the Class of 2024 and 2025!
