On 3rd July 2025, our school had the honour of hosting Madam Olivia, Head of Fundraising at Gertrude’s Children Foundation, an initiative of Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital dedicated to raising funds for children with cancer from underserved communities. Her visit marked a moment of reflection, gratitude, and future collaboration. Over the past three years, Millennium Global International School has proudly supported the Foundation through active participation in the annual Cancer Walk. Madam Olivia conveyed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the Foundation’s CEO, acknowledging the consistency and enthusiasm our students, teachers, and parents have shown toward this cause. In a special gesture, she awarded certificates of recognition to all participating students, staff, and the school, celebrating our collective efforts and commitment to service.

Student Engagement and Awareness
Following the meeting, Madam Olivia joined our high school assembly where she introduced the work of Gertrude’s Children Foundation to a wider audience. She emphasized the impact of school partnerships and the role young people can play in giving back. Students who had participated in the Cancer Walk were publicly recognized with certificates, reinforcing a sense of purpose and appreciation.

Looking Ahead
This visit was more than a courtesy call; it was a reaffirmation of shared values. We are excited about the journey ahead with Gertrude’s Children Foundation as we work together to empower our students and uplift vulnerable children across Kenya. Through continued collaboration, we aim to nurture a culture of compassion, leadership, and active citizenship in our school community.
