Empowering Eco-Warriors: Year 9 Students Lead a Creative Charge in Sustainable Education

Writer: Millennium GlobalMillennium Global

In a commendable initiative, Year 9 students took the lead in educating their peers from Years 5 and 6 about a crucial UN sustainability goal, emphasizing the significance of reducing, recycling, and reusing plastics.

The innovative showcase included crafting a beautiful flowering pot chandelier using large plastic bottles, transforming waste bins, and upcycling pencil cases from single-use plastic bottles.

The engaging session went beyond demonstration as the older students actively taught the younger ones how to create their own pencil cases from bottles, fostering a fun and meaningful bonding experience between teens and preteens.
