At Millennium Global International School, we believe in preparing our students not just for university—but for life, leadership, and global influence. This July, our Year 12 students took a powerful step in that direction by successfully completing the ARLLS–LSE Emerging Leaders Online Masterclass, an immersive experience designed by the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa at the London School of Economics (LSE)in partnership with ARLLS (Africa Rising Leadership and Learning Series).
This wasn’t just another communication course—it was a launchpad for leadership.
The Masterclass: A Launchpad for Purposeful Leadership
Powered by the renowned Programme for African Leadership atthe Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa, the ARLLS–LSE Masterclass brings together promising young changemakers from across the continent to develop the mindset, tools, and confidence required to lead in their schools, communities, and future careers.
The programme is co-branded with LSE’s Programme for Action Leadership, an initiative that equips young Africans with holistic, transformative training in leadership and communication. It draws inspiration from the acclaimed Beacon Changemakers Programme, and delivers a powerful blend of:
Power writing – mastering the art of writing with clarity, intent, and persuasion.
Purposeful speaking – learning to speak not just to be heard, but to influence and inspire.
Dynamic interaction techniques – developing the interpersonal skills to lead teams, build networks, and handle real-world scenarios.
The result? A generation of ethical, employable, confident young African leaders—ready to take on the world.

Why This Matters
The ARLLS–LSE Masterclass is more than an academic experience. It is an investment in Africa’s future leaders. It connects bright students to world-class mentorship, global networks, and real-world leadership scenarios that empower them to:
• Stand out in university admissions.
• Take on leadership roles in school and beyond.
• Contribute meaningfully to their communities.
• Represent Africa on the global stage with poise and purpose.
As part of the broader Quiroz-Lalji Institute for Africa at LSE, this initiative reflects a bold vision: to nurture a new generation of ethical, impactful African leaders through academic enrichment, mentoring, and immersive development experiences.
A Phenomenal Stride Forward
We are incredibly proud of our Year 12 students for stepping into this opportunity with courage, ambition, and an open heart for growth. They have not only gained technical skills—they’ve developed a deeper sense of identity, direction, and leadership purpose.
The ARLLS–LSE Masterclass was not just a course. It was a call to lead, and our students answered with excellence.
