  • Smart Glasses for the Visually Challenged: A device to help detect obstructions, enhancing mobility and safety.

  • Automated Door Systems: A convenient and secure way to manage access in homes and offices.

Judging and Assessment

The IoT projects were evaluated by the esteemed team from Creptie School STEAM and

Robotics. Judges meticulously assessed and analyzed the projects, focusing on their

originality and how they differed from existing solutions currently implemented in real-world

scenarios. The feedback and insights provided by the judges were invaluable for the

participants.

Parent and Community Engagement

Parents were highly engaged throughout the event, offering constructive comments and

support that left participants and the school community motivated and proud. To ensure a

welcoming atmosphere, the school arranged a variety of refreshments that added a delightful touch to the day. Despite heavy rain posing challenges, the resilience and determination of the school community ensured the event’s success.

At the culmination of the exhibition, medals and trophies were awarded to the best projects, recognizing the hard work and innovation demonstrated by students.

  • 1st Place: Charis Yamame, for his exceptional innovation and execution of his "Visionpal".

  • 2nd Place: Nathan Kiongo and Louis Sang, for their collaborative and creative approach to the automated fan.

Event Coordination

The event was coordinated by the school management and staff, with special recognition to Mr. Ernest and Ms Mercy for their passionate support in guiding students to excel in their projects.

Additionally, a team of four Year 12 students—Joy, Michelle, Hussein, and Shaun—served as marshals. Their responsibilities included escorting parents, ensuring smooth transitions, maintaining decorum, and supporting the execution of key tasks. Their leadership and dedication played a critical role in the day’s success.

Closing Remarks

The event concluded as scheduled at 3:00 PM. Parents departed with smiles, expressing

gratitude for the opportunity to witness the students’ impressive efforts and for the excellent

service provided at the catering area.

Millennium Global International School extends heartfelt thanks to God Almighty, the team from Creptie and the judges, all participants, marshals, staff members, and the school management for their contributions to making the IoT Exhibition 2024 a resounding success.
