There are evenings that fill a room with people, and then there are evenings that fill a room with possibilities.

On Friday, 25th September 2026, The Hotel Boulevard in Nairobi became a meeting point for ideas, ambition, conversations and connections as business leaders, professionals and representatives from across continents gathered for the AAMECC Network Honours Awards 2026.

The atmosphere was electrifying.

It was warm, elegant and full of movement, conversations unfolding across tables, introductions being made, stories being exchanged and handshakes turning unfamiliar faces into potential partners, collaborators and friends. There was a sense that the evening was about more than simply being in the same room. It was about discovering what could happen when people, institutions and ideas meet.

That spirit captured the essence of AAMECC's Beyond Business Cards philosophy: meaningful connections that extend beyond the exchange of contact details and become relationships with the potential to create lasting opportunities. AAMECC describes its networking platform as one designed around connection, collaboration, learning and growth across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

And on this particular evening, the conversations were just as important as the celebrations.

WHERE TRUST BECOMES THE CURRENCY OF POSSIBILITY

The evening opened with a thought-provoking panel conversation centred on a subject that sits at the heart of every meaningful business relationship: building trust, relationships and credibility.

Moderated by Mrs Flora Muthaura , the conversation went beyond the usual language of networking.

It asked a more important question:

What makes people believe in you, your institution and what you are building?

The discussion explored the foundations that give businesses and institutions credibility , from strong governance and consistency to the ability to demonstrate value and generate sustainable cashflows.

Because behind every partnership is a decision to trust.

Behind every investment is a belief that something has substance.

And behind every lasting relationship is the confidence that the person or institution across the table will deliver on its word.

The panel brought out a powerful idea: cashflow may keep a business moving, but trust is what makes people willing to begin the journey with you in the first place.

Trust creates confidence.

Credibility opens conversations.

Relationships create bridges.

And when those bridges are built intentionally, connections can become opportunities that stretch far beyond one meeting or one evening.

It was a fitting conversation for an event built around bringing people closer together.

A CHAMBER BUILT TO CONNECT CONTINENTS

The evening also offered an opportunity to hear more about the work and vision of the Africa Asia Middle East Chamber of Commerce (AAMECC)

As an intercontinental business chamber, AAMECC seeks to connect businesses, institutions and stakeholders across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and beyond, with a focus on sustainable trade, investment, innovation, inclusion and cross-border collaboration. Its wider work includes networking, trade missions, market access and partnership facilitation.

AAMECC Chamber President, Mr. Peter Mutinda shared insights into its growing network and the importance of creating platforms where relationships can develop into meaningful collaboration.

That vision was visible throughout the room.

Delegates and participating members came together from countries including Lesotho, South Africa, Malaysia, Angola, Uganda, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda, among others.

Different markets.

Different cultures.

Different experiences.

Yet one shared understanding , that meaningful progress is rarely built in isolation.

It is built when knowledge is shared, doors are opened, partnerships are formed and people are willing to look beyond borders.

AND THEN CAME A MOMENT OF PRIDE FOR MILLENNIUM GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

As the conversations gave way to celebration, the evening moved into the Honours & Awards segment , a moment dedicated to recognising organisations and individuals whose work is creating meaningful impact.

And then came a moment that made the evening particularly special for Millennium Global International School

🏆 MOST RECOGNISED INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD

Under Education & Human Capital Development, Millennium Global International School was honoured with the MOST RECOGNISED INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD

For a school, recognition of this nature is not simply about receiving a trophy.

It is about what the trophy represents.

It represents years of showing up.

Years of teaching.

Years of nurturing young minds.

Years of encouraging curiosity, discipline, creativity and confidence.

And, most importantly, years of believing that education should prepare a young person not only to succeed academically, but to understand their place in a changing world.

At Millennium Global International School, education extends beyond the classroom.

It is about developing knowledge while nurturing character. It is about creating an environment where learners are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, discover their strengths and develop the confidence to pursue their aspirations.

Human capital begins with human potential.

And every learner who walks through the school gates carries that potential.

The responsibility of education is to help transform that potential into knowledge, skills, character, creativity and purpose.

That is why this recognition resonates so deeply.

A RECOGNITION THAT SPEAKS TO PURPOSE

The MOST RECOGNISED INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD comes at a meaningful intersection between education and the wider conversation taking place across the AAMECC network.

As businesses and institutions look towards a more connected global future, education plays a foundational role.

The future of every economy is shaped by the people it equips.

The innovations we celebrate tomorrow begin with the curiosity we nurture today.

The leaders we look to tomorrow begin as learners who are given the confidence to think, question, create and contribute.

For Millennium Global International School, this recognition therefore feels less like an ending and more like an affirmation of purpose.

It is a reminder that education has an influence far beyond report cards and classrooms.

It shapes people.

People shape communities.

Communities shape nations.

And ultimately, people are at the centre of every meaningful form of progress.

BEYOND THE AWARD, A MOMENT TO REMEMBER

As the evening continued at Hotel Boulevard, conversations resumed and photographs captured moments that would otherwise have passed in the blink of an eye.

But perhaps the most memorable part of the evening was not the applause alone.

It was the reminder that recognition and connection can meet in the same room.

One conversation can spark an idea.

One introduction can open a door.

One partnership can create a new possibility.

And one award can remind an institution why the work matters.

The AAMECC Network Honours Awards 2026 brought together people from different corners of the world, but the message running through the evening was remarkably universal:

Impact is built through people, purpose, trust and consistency.

For Millennium Global International School, being named the MOST RECOGNISED INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL under Education & Human Capital Development is a proud milestone , one that celebrates not only where the school stands today, but the responsibility that comes with continuing to nurture the generation that will shape tomorrow.

Because the most meaningful recognition is not simply being seen.

It is knowing that the work you do is making a difference.

And sometimes, when purpose meets consistency, recognition follows.

We thank God for this wonderful recognition and for the journey that continues.🏆🌍💙
